Development of a Three-Dimensional CFD Model and OpenCV Code by Comparing with Experimental Data for Spillway Model Studies

This article presents a three-dimensional CFD model and OpenCV code by comparing the flow over spillway with experimental data for use in studies. A 1/200-scale of real dam was created according to Froude similarity. In studies, velocity water depth were measured four different sections determined model. ANSYS Fluent simulations flows occurring during flood obtained. numerical model, two-phase VOF k-epsilon turbulence are used. As result analysis, velocity, depth, pressure, cavitation index values examined. The obtained models compared good agreement found between results. addition, this study, technique based on image processing is developed calculate depth. floating object placed channel experiment movement recorded cameras at angles.
